Project Description

Andrea Calleja, known as “Batman,” was seriously injured during an obstacle race in 2022, leaving him paralysed in all four limbs. Since then, Andrea has faced an incredibly challenging journey of rehabilitation and recovery. Four years on, he is now taking an important step towards greater independence as he moves into his new home, specially adapted to meet his needs. The costs involved in adapting the home to meet his needs have been quite substantial, and ongoing rehabilitation is essential, adding significantly to the overall expenses.

Andrea is transitioning from Karin Grech Rehabilitation Hospital to his new home, marking an important step towards greater independence and a more stable future. However, making the home suitable for his needs has involved substantial costs, and ongoing rehabilitation remains essential to support his progress and quality of life. These expenses continue to place a significant financial burden on the family.
