It’s Personal
Mention the word ‘cancer’ to anyone and you’ll find out how quickly the conversation turns personal. Everyone it seems, has a story of their own, or of people near and dear who are fighting or have fought their battle with cancer. The same is true for Rik and all collaborating on this project. So you might ask yourself…
Art, what is it good for?
Art will not cure cancer, we know that, but it will make a patient’s stay at the ward just that little bit less dreadful, and provide a better working environment for the staff. There is a real sense on the ward that they need art there. When was the last time you heard someone say they ‘needed’ art? However, to make a real difference to the atmosphere at the ward it will need to be printed big. These are the images, with their sizes. They will be professionally printed at the highest possible quality, on Aluminium Composite Panel (ACP), with an industrial grade lamination, so they can withstand the rigours of hospital life and can be enjoyed for decades. This is why we are here at ZAAR to ask You to help us bring these works of art, to the Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre.

To see the images bigger, click here to open the album on our Facebook page (the album opens in a new tab on your browser). We will gift you one or more of these prints when you donate, please check the donation options on the right (or scroll down on your mobile phone). You can pick up your prints from our…
Pop up exhibition
You’re doing a beautiful thing, come and see for yourself! Before the art is installed at the ward, a 4 day pop-up exhibition with the actual works of art will take place thanks to the Gabriel Caruana Foundation, from 1 to 4 June 2018, at The Mill (Il-Mitħna) in Birkirkara. Opening times are from 10 to 12 each morning and from 4 to 7 in the afternoon. As a generous donor to our cause you will be invited to the opening event on Thursday 31 May at 8pm.
Should you not be able to make it to the exhibition we will send your prints anywhere in the world, for free. The fine art prints will be well protected, in a cardboard backed envelope.
On a final note, we must emphasize that there will be…
Not a penny wasted
The moneys collected during this fund raising effort will be used for the printing, installation and related costs. Should there be any money left, it will be donated to the Deep Shelter project to help bring more art to the Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre.
