Project Description
♟️ HELP CHESSBUDDIES GROW ❤️
ChessBuddies & Mates Community was created with a simple dream: to give children and teenagers across Malta and Gozo a fun, safe and welcoming place to learn, play and grow through chess. We’re an officially registered Voluntary Organisation (VO/2658), and over the past year we’ve run tournaments, weekend meetups, school initiatives and family chess events all over Malta.
Now, we’re ready to take the next step — and we need your help.
🎯 OUR TARGET: €2,000
We want to build up our equipment so we can keep organising tournaments, workshops and chess activities across Malta and Gozo. The funds will go towards:
♟️ More chess boards & sets
⏱️ Digital chess clocks
💻 Swiss Manager tournament system
🎓 Teacher/trainer certification
🌱 MORE SETS = MORE COMMUNITIES
Our goal isn’t simply to own equipment. It’s to take chess into schools, local communities and youth groups across Malta and Gozo, giving children and families the opportunity to learn, play and enjoy chess. Where possible, we’d also like to pass equipment on to other communities that need it.
👨👩👧👦 WHO WE ARE
ChessBuddies & Mates is run by [add a short line about you/your team — volunteers, coaches, background]. We believe every child deserves the chance to learn chess, regardless of ability or background, and we’re committed to making that happen across Malta and Gozo. Check out the FAQs tab to learn more about our project.
❤️ Every contribution — big or small — brings us one move closer.
