Help Save Fort Chambray!

Fort Chambray is under siege from developers that want to turn it into a development zone. The Planning Authority has approved plans to construct 105 residential units, 50 apartments and a tourist complex inside the Fort. The proposal involves demolishing most of a 19th century British Barracks and relocating the rest of it. Din l-Art Ħelwa together with numerous other NGOs, academics and individuals will be appealing against the recent development permissions denigrating the Fort. Help us fund the appeals!

The development permission will allow the demolition of most of the iconic 19th century British Barracks and the relocation of its facade to the rear of the site to allow better views for the newly proposed housing estate.
