Project Description
18 months ago, Aldo Cauchi Savona was involved in a road accident that left him hovering between two worlds. He suffered severe brain swelling and remained in a coma until four months later. Upon regaining consciousness, not only did he have to recover from the physical injuries that he had sustained, but also had to relearn his entire life. Before the accident, Aldo was a very talented photographer and part of his therapy has been to relearn his skills in photography. Following his coma and loss of memory, Aldo began to keep a journal of his experience.
Two of Aldo’s closest friends decide to collaborate with Aldo to create a performance and visual exhibition based on this diary, which inspired Miriam’s poetry, and later, the development of a short film and the curation of an immersive multimedia experience.
Help us tell this story of hope, acceptance and perseverance which has inspired this project.
