Jeshwang United FC has 30 registered players and seven officials, based in the Old Jeshwang area of Kanifing Municipal Council, The Gambia, has a rich history rooted in the community and local talent. The club’s origins trace back to 2000, participating in the Gambia Football Association League Division Two during the 2000/2001 season. In the 2013/2014 season, the team became the GFA National League Division Two Champions and secured promotion to the First Division, highlighting their competitive spirit and ambition. Due to financial and material resources challenges, the team stayed only one season in the first division and was relegated.

Over the years, Jeshwang Utd. FC continued its ambitions, and has been a significant force in the Gambia Women’s Football. In 2023/2024 the team clinched the Championship title, underscoring the team’s dominance in the league.

The club’s commitment to nurturing talent and fostering community engagement has been evident through various NACOF programs, where Jeshwang Utd. FC players participate in inter-regional football competitions representing the Kanifing Municipal Council Region.

In summary, Jeshwang United Football Club’s journey from its early days in 2000 to its recent success in women’s football exemplifies the club’s dedication to excellence, community involvement, and the development of football talent in the Gambia.
