Project Description

Set up in 2009 with the belief that everyone has a right to equality and inclusion, Inspire’s mission is to try to help everyone with a disability achieve equality and inclusion. To fund their mission, Inspire has various social enterprises, one of these being a commercial gym that was previously promoted alongside their therapeutic pool in Marsascala; this being where they identified an opportunity to help more people experiencing some form of limitation or disability, and thus extend their reach.

Inspire’s therapists identified a GAP where they could help. They noticed that people who have a newly acquired disability, such as accident victims, stroke victims, people suffering from fibromyalgia, elderly people, may get support from Mater Dei hospital and Karen Grech Hospital, but once they are discharged into the community, they have nowhere to continue their rehabilitation; and this is where Inspire’s initiative kicks in. With the help of their qualified specialists, they have designed a unique and state-of-the-art facility that will include a Disability Gym, a Rehabilitation Gym, and a hub of clinics where they can guarantee a holistic service to the persons using their services.
Inspire’s Rehabilitation initiative will give a NEW LEASE OF LIFE to hundreds of people who are suffering from physical limitations and restricted mobility and who have nowhere else to go to support them in their recovery.

  • Significantly impact the quality of life of a substantial number of people facing a physical challenge and help them gain strength as quickly as possible with the help of their state-of-the-art facility and guidance of their therapists
  • Through their facility, give an opportunity to hundreds of people suffering from impaired mobility to make use of their facilities to rehabilitate and gain strength, significantly improving their quality of life.

The overall budget of this initiative is around Eur400,000. Any little bit helps them get closer to their target. Donate and be a changemaker too!
