The Woman Behind the Mission

Every few weeks, a woman named Theresa makes the journey from Malta to Sicily — not for a holiday, but to rescue stray and vulnerable dogs living on the streets.

For years, Theresa has dedicated her personal time, energy, and resources to identifying stray dogs in Sicily, caring for them, and arranging loving adoptions here in Malta. She does this quietly, consistently, and without asking for much in return. The dogs she rescues get a second chance at life. The families who adopt them gain a loyal companion.

The Problem

Until now, Theresa has been making every rescue trip in her personal car. That means limited space for dogs, difficult transport conditions, and not enough room for the food, crates, and supplies that rescued dogs need. As the missions have grown, the need for a proper vehicle has become impossible to ignore.

The Solution

Theresa needs a Volkswagen Transporter — a vehicle built for exactly this kind of work. More space, better ventilation, safer transport, and enough room to carry everything a rescue mission requires.

The target is €20,000.

Who is Theresa? Theresa is a Malta-based animal welfare volunteer who regularly travels to Sicily to rescue stray and abandoned dogs, and arrange their adoption into loving homes in Malta.

How will the funds be used? 100% of funds raised go towards purchasing a Volkswagen Transporter to support Theresa's rescue missions between Malta and Sicily.

What is Hill's role in this campaign? Hill's Pet Nutrition Malta is spearheading this campaign and has been supporting Theresa with food donations for the rescued dogs. This campaign is part of Hill's ongoing commitment to animal welfare in Malta.

When will rewards be delivered? All rewards will be delivered within 4 weeks of the campaign closing.

What happens if the target is not reached? Any funds raised will still go directly towards supporting Theresa's rescue mission, whether towards the vehicle or ongoing food and supply costs.
