Project Description

SIDEQUEST MALTA – Gaming for our community

Calling all noobs, bots and pros who are spending more and more time at home gaming in view of the circumstances.

The partial-lockdown of the country has presented new challenges to members of our society who do not share the same privileges as we do. We can do our part to help those who are struggling to make ends meet, and have no choice but to resort to food banks in Malta to be able to feed themselves and their families.

One such food bank is the Foodbank Lifeline Foundation, who in January 2020 (before the current measures were put in place) had given out 489  food-packs of various sizes, depending on family size.

The partial lock down of the country caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has meant that clients are reaching out to the foundation again for assistance. The Foodbank Lifeline Foundation has also closed its collection depot for safety reasons, meaning food packs are being delivered instead of collected.

The foundation is currently feeding 130 families a week, by providing them with food-packs worth 45 Euro each.  This means that if we reach our goal of 6,000 Euro we would be able feed 130 families for one week!

Through this fundraiser, we can all pledge our support to this noble cause and therefore help support local families in these challenging times.

Keep your eyes peeled for our exclusive tournaments in the coming weeks, which will continue to contribute to this fundraiser, but feel free to donate anything you can in the meantime. All donations will go directly to the Foodbank Lifeline Foundation.

We are encouraging gamers to fund raise through their online activities by pledging their winnings to the cause or simply by promoting the fundraiser between them when playing online.

Stay home and see you online!
