Project Description
This year I am taking on one of the biggest physical and personal challenges of my life by participating in the Lifecycle Malta 2026 cycling expedition across Africa.
As a consultant gynaecologist and surgeon working at Mater Dei Hospital, I have dedicated my professional life to improving the health and quality of life of my patients. Every day I witness the incredible work carried out by healthcare professionals across our hospital, including the dedicated team within the Renal Unit.

Although I do not work directly in nephrology, I fully understand how devastating kidney disease can be. Kidney failure affects every aspect of a person’s life and often requires lifelong dialysis or transplantation. Behind every patient is a family whose lives are also profoundly affected by this condition.
That is why I have chosen to dedicate my Lifecycle Malta 2026 challenge to raising funds for the Renal Unit at Mater Dei Hospital.
Cycling across Africa will test my physical endurance, determination, and resilience. Every kilometre I ride will represent my commitment to supporting patients living with kidney disease and helping the Renal Unit continue providing outstanding care.
Your contribution—large or small—will make a real difference. Together we can help improve facilities, support patient care, and contribute to a better future for those living with kidney disease.

I would be truly grateful for your support. By sponsoring my ride, you are not only encouraging me throughout this challenging journey, but you are also making a meaningful investment in the wellbeing of patients who need our help the most.
Thank you for believing in this cause and for joining me on this journey.

Together, we can turn every kilometre into hope.
