Project Description
Ġorġ has lived with his daughter in his little coffin shop in Valletta for all he can remember. But now a developer has set his sights on buying the shop to build a boutique hotel. His wife comes along and makes a strange request. She wants a yellow coffin. Could Ġorġ be tempted to sell? But what is the big secret he is hiding in the kitchen?
This play will be staged at VCT (ex MITP), Valletta in October 2018. The script will be published.
The play is written by Clare Azzopardi and will be directed by Marcelle Teuma. The cast is made of Peter Galea, Leigh Ann Abela, Mariele Zammit and Anthony Ellul.
TEBUT ISFAR is being produced by Unifaun Theatre Productions as part of their 2018/9 Season.
We are organising this Crowd Funding to create a memorable performance for the Maltese public, written by a Maltese female playwright, and to have the script published. Very few scripts in the Maltese Language are published and we are seeking to address this void by organising this Crowd Funding. In fact, most of the funds gained through this Crowd Funding will be going to address production costs of publishing the script.
