Project Description

The LifeCycle Malta Foundation is the only registered NGO in Malta and Gozo solely dedicated to helping Renal Patients. We do this by organising a ten day endurance cycling challenge in a different country every year, covering up to 2000km to raise funds and awareness on Kidney Failure.
This year we are raising funds to honour our yearly commitment to cover the costs of:
The Lurto Software by Traccia: €17,000
This software efficiently manages the waiting lists for organ transplantation and the subsequent allocation of organs in the presence of a potential donor.

Pilgrimage Trip To Lourdes for Patients and Nurses: €8,000.
Every year we cover the costs of a trip to Lourdes for renal patients and nurses that fosters community and benefits the renal patients in huge ways.
RIDT – University of Malta Research Trust: €25,000
This partnership has accelerated and expanded the research on kidney failure and treatment helping us understand valuable information on how to improve the lives of many.

As part of the wish-list that was given to us by the Renal Unit in April 2026, we are also raising funds to cover the costs of:
A Convex Scanner – €5,300
A hand held ultrasound machine that sends sound waves into the body to create images allowing doctors to see organs.
Every participant raises funds through corporate sponsors, family and friends and the foundation receives public donations through the efforts of the committee members and volunteers.

When it comes to raising funds, it is never enough. Therefore we rely heavily on your generosity and compassion. Donating will help us complete the wish-list for this year.
You can check out the FAQs tab for further information about the work that we do through LifeCycle.

We are always determined to reach our goal; however, with your help, we can do more.
Support us. Follow The Journey.
