Project Description

Help us Help Vulnerable Families

At this time of crisis, many vulnerable families are facing difficulties in keeping up with daily necessities.  This campaign is held to make sure no one suffers and is given help with their basic needs.

What is SOAR?

SOAR is a service provided for free by St Jeanne Antide Foundation. It is a survivor-led strengths-based peer support service for women and children who are starting live over after domestic violence. SOAR is licensed by the Social Care Standards Authority and offers a range of long-term services to support women and children survivors who are exiting shelters or already living in the community.

Why Donate?

In 2019, SOAR provided free long-term open ended support to a record 112 families, improving the lives of 155 children – double the total cases we had in 2018. This helped families to become strong and resilient and cope with challenges that they faced, to secure stability and safety, to support their wellbeing, encourage self-development and prevented families from becoming homeless and destitute. We helped children access therapy and supported women with material needs for their new home. We helped mothers keep their children in school, supported women with laptops so they could study, and provided mentoring to kick-start their career or learn to budget at home. Without funding, none of this is possible.

Partnership

The NGO SOAR has teamed up with ANCHOVY. who has proudly created this CSR Campaign with the backing of its sponsor, MPS. This campaign has been set up to contribute towards a greater good, as it furthers the war against domestic violence which in turn, benefits the community.
